Harrison will no doubt come back and say that mixbus is not a full featured daw and not designed for this, yet next version continue to expand it into exactly that - a full featured DAW. The plugin performance is truly terrible in my experience, and stopped my demo short in it's tracks today and helped me make the decision not to buy. I am testing this in Mixbus with a simple, brand new project, only one midi track, no other plugins at all, just the synth. Codex is hungry, but the point is that even though Logic and PT cpu meters show high also, there is absolutely no problems. This is a single instance of waves codex playing a 4 note pad progression. Mixbus can not even play it at 512 buffer. By doing this, both PT and logic are running the synth at the realtime buffer i have selected (128 samples). Note, i have record armed in pro tools, and the instrument track selected in logic, for it to be a fair comparison. On my macbook, compared to pro tools 12.8.2 and Logic 10.3.2, using the exact same midi file and AU synth, mixbus is unable to play back without glitches, using the same buffer size. I am sure there are many of us in this boat. Harrison keep saying in replies that mixbus is designed as a mixer etc, so why then offer features that DO make it a full DAW? The only way I would switch to mixbus 32c is if I switched to it to do all my composition through mixdown.

Having the same issue here with 32c V4 demo (latest). test with same project, 7 tracks but now with 7 Synthmaster2 synths test project, 7 tracks with 7 General MIDI synthsĢ.
